Outreach Ministries
In Matthew 25:35-36, Jesus reminds us that we must care for our brothers and sisters around the world: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” So as a community that strives to put our faith into action, St. Mary/St. Benedict Parish is strongly committed to serving those in need in our community and in other parts of the world.
Our ministries include:
Food Pantry held on the second Saturday of every month at St. Mary site.
The Giving Trees provide an opportunity for parishioners to help provide Christmas gifts to individuals and families in need. Each November two Giving Trees are set up at each site with tags listing the particular needs of the receiver. Parishioners choose a tag, purchase and return the gift with the gift givers name remaining anonymous.
